President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a telephone conference in the Normandy format with President of France Francois Holland, Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Common position of the Normandy format is that the ceasefire should take place all over the collision line, including the area of Debaltseve.

President Poroshenko has underlined that the heavy weaponry withdrawal should be launched only following the comprehensive and unconditional ceasefire.

Petro Poroshenko, Angela Merkel, Francois Hollande and Vladimir Putin have stressed that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission should be allowed to carry out its work in Debaltseve, Donetsk region in order to monitor and verify the ceasefire.

The interlocutors have also agreed to continue their negotiations in the Normandy format on Monday, February 16, 2015.
